When datalogging
most OBDI vehicles the act of connecting the car to a PC/PDA with a datalogging cable will put the cars ECU into diagnostic mode. A side effect of the car going into diagnostic mode is the fact that the ABS is disabled.
To re-enable using one of our high quality 2-part cables, simply disconnect and then reconnect our cables inline
connector...it couldn't be easier! However, if you are looking for the ultimate in True Auto On/Off
capability with ABS enabled in software please check out our PC
datalogging products.

Our
Unique 2-Part Cable Design
Many datalogging cables will leave the car in diagnostic mode if left
connected to the OBDI port (ref. diagram/comments above).
To many owners this is not an issue if they intend to remove the cable
immediately after successfully diagnosing the fault.
However it is important to note that in the diagnostic mode the ABS
is disabled and it is imperative the user is fully aware of this before
undertaking any performance measurements while driving or if he
intends to leave the cable permanently connected.
* * * * *
Even auto-on/off cables that have successfully resolved this issue, still have the
problem of cluttering the driver’s foot well with long lengths of cable
if left permanently connected. Initially and for our own convenience we decided to
improve the cable design slightly in an attempt to improve the current
situation, this is
the solution that we are now offering to you! OK...so it's not rocket
science, but we along with our hundreds of satisfied customers firmly believe this is the best
cable design currently available.

So, if you want a slightly more convenient high quality solution, look
no further!

[ Datalogging]
* Can log all of the above factory data plus much much more - for
example...
* Fuel trims
* Knock sensor
* Air volume
* Acceleration enrichment
* Typically achieves 50-75 samples per second, depending on computer
speed and RPM (as RPMs increase, the ECU has less time to respond due to
time spent firing the coils and injectors)
* Sophisticated charting tool, including live data scrolling graphs
(Windows version only)
[Diagnostic Port]
* Any Mitsubishi manufactured vehicle with a similar 12-PIN OBDI diagnostic
port. Some of the more advanced data may not be available, but the
Engine ECU Datalogger will be able to do anything the factory scan tool can.
* ECU Compatibility
* No ECU modifications necessary
* Works with any stock factory ECU
* Also works with HKS's VPC or EFI's PMS. Some sensor values may not
reflect their true values since both of these units "fool" the
factory ECU into behaving a certain way by modifying some of the true
sensor values.
